We want to introduce you the most genious collection of all wearable arts; Plastic Body Series. Collection is created from barbie doll parts in combination of sterling silver and pigmented resins. The designer of this collection is Margaux Lange whose desire is to re-purpose mass produced materials into handmade, wearable art.
Margaux Lange received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2001, where her Plastic Body Series was first conceived.This Fine Arts education, gave her the foundation for conceptual exploration in her jewelry work. And a childhood obsession of her dolls, added the creativity and resulted in a beautiful collection.
Margaux has been creating in this series and exhibiting for nearly 10 years now. Her jewelry has been published in numerous books and has garnered international press coverage in the world's top art, fashion and design magazines.
